JONES LOSES NO HIT BID WITH 2 OUTS IN 7TH - ROJAS,WENDELL ALMOST BLOW 9 RUN LEAD IN 9TH

Bobby Jones took a no-hitter into the 7th inning and Todd Pratt had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the New York (NL) Mets topped the Houston Astros by a score of 10 to 6 at The Astrodome.New York (NL) had 11 hits for the game and Houston had 5. "I thought we might have another one [no-hitter] from Bobby today. He pitched lights out, just shows you how hard it is" Graham said.

The win went to Jones(4-0) who allowed 1 run in 6 and 2/3 innings.  The right-handed Jones lost his no-hit bid when Derek Bell tripled with two outs in the 7th inning.  Mike Hampton(3-3) took the loss.  

Coming into the 9th with a 9 run lead it took two Mets relievers to put out the fire that saw the Stros' push across 5 runs and make a game of it. "Ridiculous...thats horseshit. Just throw fucking strikes" Graham said after the game.
